0 Venice Trip: Chiesa di Santa Maria del Giglio

Chiesa di Santa Maria del Giglio sits right behind Piazza San Marco.  While we were waiting for 10 AM to buy our tickets for the clock tower we wandered around and found this church.   The church wasn't technically open yet, but since it was physically open, we went in.  I felt a little bad for not paying an entry fee, but this church is part of the Chorus pass that we did purchase later, so really it all balanced out.

Confessional.  Not very private, is it??

Of course, another beautiful ceiling!  This one is simpler than most, with just the paintings, but still something much better than basic brick and drywall (take a hint, American churches!).
