0 Scotland Trip; (Southern) Highlands/Loch Ness, October 12 (Part 2)

Loch Ness.  The weather only added to the mystique...

The edge of the loch (it's not really a shore!) from our cruise.

We didn't actually get rained on, but we saw plenty in the distance!

Suddenly, right when our cruise ship turned around to head back, the clouds parted and the sun came out.  Beautiful!

In honor of Loch Ness I wore my "Nessie" Woot shirt.

After we left Loch Ness we drove through Glen Affric, a beautiful forest nearby.   This was a short hike to Dog Falls.

Dog Falls.

Some of the trees in the forest.

We walked out on a hydro-electric dam on one of the lochs.  It was dusk (obviously) and the mist/fog was beautiful.

Another view from the dam.

I was trying to get a close up of some heather.  The light was poor but I still like how this shot turned out.
