0 I've been back a little over a week now

While Georgia will always be Home and I loved my time there, Yorkshire is home for now and it's good to be back.  I've mostly been just having normal everyday life since I got back, but I do have a few fun things to share.

I've started a farm delivery service.  Every Friday I get a small veg box of fresh vegetables, some milk, and any other items I choose to add to my order.  It's fantastic to have fresh, locally (or at least on the island) grown produce, along with local organic milk delivered straight to my door!  Each week's selection varies, but one thing I've discovered is that I like "courgettes" or zucchini for Americans.

Today I went to my first "boot sale".  This is most comparable to a flea market, people bring their goods and sell them, sometimes from the trunk/boot of their car.  Very interesting... I got some fantastic old blue and green medicine bottles.  By old I mean turn of the 19th/20th century, so quite recent by English standards :)

Yesterday was my first Birstwith Day.  Our village, like most villages, has a day where everyone comes out and has contests, displays goods, and engages in friendly competition.  It was fun, my neighbor and friends' daughter Maisie won Best Baby, so that was exciting.   I then was invited to a barbecue with her family, and met lots of wonderful people.  I have to say, living in a small village has definite perks!

I'll leave you for now, sorry there's no interesting pictures, I'll try to do something photogenic soon- in the meantime, Happy Yorkshire Day!
